hey guys, anyone have any sugjestions for a realy crappy thing i feel like making. my original idea was to make a game "the ripz" in java so it would be in an applet and could be played in an explorer window, but that failed me, i think i can still fix it but i want to actualy have some form of idea...
so.... my idea was to have somthing along the lines of...
Intelect:
Strength:
Vitality:
Dexterity:
Agility:
Luck:
Name:
Level: 1
Health:
Power:
Attack:
Defence:
Magic:
Speed:
Skill1:
Skill2:
Skill3:
Skill4:
--------------
i'll use myself as an example...

Strength: 10
Vitality: 8
Dexterity: 22
Agility: 14
Luck: 8
Name: Silvo
Level: 1
Health: 1000
Power: 10
Attack: Agility+(Strength*Power)
Defence: Agility+(Vitality*Power)
Magic: (Intelect*Power) - Strength
Speed: (Agility*Power) - Strength
Normal Attack: Attack (Attack)
Defend: Defence (Defence+1)
Charge: Charge (Power+1)
Skill1: Dark Blast (Magic*Power+Intelect)
Skill2: Shield Defence (Defence++, Intelect++)
Skill3: Magic Blast (Magic*Intelect)
Skill4: Wind Shot (Power*Intelect)

the problem with this really just comes when choosing a skill..
each time you attack, defend, or charge you don't need to use any Power Points, but skills use 1 power each time... so then your attack gets recalculated each time and as such weakens, so the more you charge the stronger you are... etc... BUT the math used to calculate the attacks will always been higher than another... so unless i make some use 2 points... that might fix the problem...
but yea, you will always choose the one out of the 4 skills that does the most dmg and you will likly not attack...
sk1 - 200dmg
sk2 - 40dmg
sk3 - 180dmg
sk4 - 18dmg
if each uses the same amount... ur gunna go with sk1....
meh i guess that would fix that problem...
the first screen would be like...

clicking one will initiate the char variable that will distinguish between who is who to set the skill equasions, as well as set the MAX stats...and base stats
so that would say ur skills and stats etc.... and you'd start fighting the enemy who would get significantly stronger each level... and you can gain levels too... each kill gains exp... and you can select your ability to upgrade a stat...
i guess it would work if i did it like that and actualy drew a layout and wrote some stuff out on paper... i'd do it... meh, i'll do it later head hurts like a bitch now. want to add on or sugjest anything i'd love to hear it...
